The delivery will consist of the following 4 main areas:

— measure the ground water level and preservation conditions in the cultural layers through,

— archeological analyses, quality checks of data and interpretation of the preservation condition,

— hydrological analyses and quality checks and interpretation of ground water levels,

— geochemical analyses and interpretation of preservation conditions, amongst other things based on data obtained from sensors installed in a test hole behind Nordre Bredgården,

— instrumentation of a number of environment wells, as well as processing the measurement data.

— measure settlement development in the ground and in buildings through,

— regular measuring of fixed points in buildings and the terrain, and processing the settlement data,

— geotechnical analyses and quality checks.

— detect changes in the ground water level and preservation conditions for the cultural layers (and notify changes that exceed defined thresholds), as well as assess the reason for the changes and propose aversion measures in the area in question.

— manage, operate and maintain the different parts of the IT system that has been established at Bryggen for the ground water project, including operationalising and running the control room in Schøtstuene (cf. the MOM plan).

The scope will depend on the awarded budget. See the Contracting Authority's requirements specification, point 4 for further details.

The environment monitoring project will run for 4 years, with options for a 1+1 year extension.
