Procurement of a process engine for a new case management platform

Utlendingsdirektoratet - UDI

UDI has started a process to replace the current case management system. Process follow-up, both the general process, the orchestration of automatic processes and follow-up of manual processes, is an important part of the new case management platform. This functionality can either be built from scratch via general development language, or procured through a process engine that offers configurable functionality. The expectation is that UDI's need for this type of process support will be best met through a lightweight process and rule engine. This will also be the cheapest solution.
UDI has been granted resources for 2019 to automise applications for citizenship cases, which will use a process engine and start the work on a new case management system. The expectation is that further case portfolios will be transferred to the new platform in the coming years, but this is not certain.
