As a fundamental principle, the stretch must be constructed equivalent to the southbound lanes that were built between 2007 — 2009.
As a result of the deeper troughing, it will be necessary to take down much of the existing railing.
We are preparing for the most possible reuse of both the reinforcement layer, concrete and railing.
It will also be necessary to handle and possibly reorganise cables and pipelines that are affected by the works.
The annual daily traffic count on the stretch is approx. 22 000. The works will affect three level crossings and the works must be carried out in phases/stages in order to minimise the traffic inconveniences. It is planned to complete approximately half the stretch in the first summer season and the second next summer season.
