The Agency for Urban Environment would like to procure a contractor for building and construction work for the Street and Tram Renovation in Thorvald Meyers project. The project is a part of “Samla Plan”. The Agency for the Environment and Transport has asked Sporveien AS and the Agency for Urban Environment to prepare a total plan for upgrading the tram infrastructure, including other upgrade measures in streets and urban areas that are serviced by trams. The project is a cooperation between the Agency for Urban Environment (BYM), Sporveien AS (SPV) and the Agency for Water and Sewage (VAV).

Approx. 1.1 km of urban streets are to be upgraded in the central area of Grünerløkka. The tram and street installations must be renewed to meet the new design requirements, kerbstones must be adjusted and pavements must be renovated, partly with granite slabs. The tram infrastructure must be renewed, including new contact wire installations. VAV is planning 6 excavation free street crossings. Holding magazines are planned outside the street area in Birkelunden and at Olaf Ryes plass.

The project includes:

— street ground (covers roads and pavements, green structure/planing, surface water management, permanent constructions, street furniture, lighting, etc.),

— interface systems between courtyard owners and BYM (covers the transition to existing buildings, steps, staircases, street heating, etc.),

— tram stops,

— goods delivery bays and bicycle parking,

— rails with underlying foundations/plates,

— new contact wire installations,

— conduits/manholes for fibre/IT and electricity,

— water and sewage pipes,

— heating pipes.
