Vehicle Communication Gateway (VCG) for on board installation. The VCG will be the sole communication link between all IT systems on board the vehicle and Ruter's back office systems.
Ruter's ambition is to retrofit on board communication gateway in all vehicles that do not currently have an APC (Automatic Passenger Counting) installed — approximately 500 buses. In addition to this, all new buses will be fitted with a VCG as part of the overall on board IT systems portfolio — approximately 100-200 buses per year.
