Procurement of a Scanning probe microscope

NTNU [The Norwegian University of Science and Technology]

The Inorganic Materials and Ceramics Research Group at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at NTNU requires a computer controlled high-resolution scanning proble imaging system (scanning probe microscope — SPM).
We plan to acquire a state-of-the-art computer controlled SPM including controller and software. The system will be used for studying electronic and magnetic nanoscale properties of functional oxides and, besides providing atomic resolution in AFM mode, should support advanced measurements modes including, but not limited to, cAFM, PFM, AFM, KPFM and EFM (see appendix 1 for further details). The envisaged research requires the option to perform such measurements at sub-room-temperature and under variable atmosphere and applied magnetic fields. The system shall futher exhibit full flexibility for implementing additional custom-designed SPM experiments. For this purpose we are inviting tenderers from reputed SPM manufacturers. Manufacturers submitting tenders have to be able to deliver the required equipment no later than 30.9.2016.
