The works consist of altering the existing T junction to a roundabout as well as constructing a subway in the junction between county road 546 Fanavegen and county road 163 close to Fana church.
The footpath culvert shall function as a footpath access to Kirkevoll school.
A diversion road shall be constructed in order to establish a construction pit for the footpath culvert.
There are demanding ground conditions in the area and sheet piling must established between the diversion road and the construction pit for the footpath culvert.
The water/waste water and storm water installations must be altered in the area. Car parks shall also be re-established for Kirkevoll school.
There are a lot of pedestrians in the area for Kirkevoll school and there are strict requirements for the contractor as regards ensuring safe and good footpath access to the school throughout the entire construction period.
The proximity to Fana Church will also require a stop in noisy work for funerals.
