Analyzing vitamin D by LC/MS/MS

Helse Bergen /Haukeland University Hospital intend to purchase 2 LCMSMS instruments for use at the Hormone Laboratory section of chromatographic methods and mass spectrometry. The instruments must be delivered complete and in the best possible way fulfill the requirements described in the tender documents.
It is expected that the offered instrument has good capacity and is robust in operation.
The client also wants an offer on a training program for the users and a full service agreement throughout the instruments lifetime. The equipment offered shall have a minimum 2 year warranty on all parts
The Hormone Laboratory is one of two specialized laboratories in Norway for analyzing hormones, and holds a wide endocrinological analysis repertoire. The Hormone Laboratory has started a process toward accreditation by the EN ISO 15189 standard.
About 400.000 requisitioned analyzes are being performed annually. Several are being carried out by the Section for chromatography and mass spectrometry using the mass spectrometric method. 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 and 25-hydroxyvitamin D2 (VD25D3 and VD25D2) make up the largest volume of approximately 100,000 analyzes in 2015. It is expected an overall increase of approximately 5 % in the number of analyzes and analysis scope during the instruments lifetime.
Vitamin D will in the following tender be named VD25. This includes both VD25D3 and VD25D2.
The instrument sought to be used in clinical routine activities for analysis of patient samples for qualitative analysis of VD25. The laboratory is staffed for handling and analyzes patient samples from kl. 7:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday.
