Monitoring of the salmons ability to survive in seawaters — preliminary surveys

The objective of the contract is to obtain information from a selection of waterways in order to evaluate if the waterways are suitable for long-term monitoring of the salmons ability to survive in seawaters.
In 2013 an assignment was given regarding exploring the possibilities, and submitting proposals to a national system for monitoring if the salmons are able to survive in seawaters. A large number of waterways was assessed and the most suitable were suggested The report was presented in March 2014 (Salmons ability to survive in seawaters Proposal for a new national monitoring system. The Norwegian Institute for Nature Research's (NINA) Report no 1026).
This assignment is a continuance. The service provider shall obtain more detailed information and documentation on a selection of rivers (see below). Based on this information and documentation, a new assessment of the waterways' suitability in relation to the criteria used in the above mentioned report, shall implemented.
