The Bridge is in the preliminary project, an eight span steel box bridge in association with a concrete slab. The foundation for the bridge is planned as a combination of direct foundations and drilled and steel pipe piles to rock. A construction plan and the tender documentation (chapter D) shall be prepared in order to implement construction of Åstfjord bridge.

A construction plan and the tender documentation (chapter D) shall be prepared in order to implement construction of Åstfjord bridge.Åstfjord bridge is part of the project ‘County Road 714 Saghølen — Stormyra’ in Snillfjord kommune (municipality).The Project ‘County Road 714 Saghølen — Stormyra’ has a cost framework of 1 300 000 000 NOK. and shall be built in the period 2017-2020 assuming approved toll application level two for County Road 714 Laksevegen.Anticipated contract cost of Åstfjord bridge is approx. 370 000 000 NOK excluding VAT.A detailed description of the assignment with engineering design of Åstfjord bridge is provided in chapter E.
