Samnangerheimen nursing home is constructed with two buildings built together The buildings are built in the fifties and the nineties, respectively. The oldest part of the Samnangerheimen nursing home shall be demolished and a new addition shall be constructed.
The new building shall contain two wings, where wing A shall face the existing building which comprises 3 floors including a basement in a sloping terrain Wing B shall also contain 3 floors but shall not include a basement. This means that that the lowest floor in wing B is equivalent to the middle floor in wing A Measures in the existing building shall not be carried out, except for what is considered necessary. This includes adaptation of stairs and lift which shall give access to a new roof terrace. The total heated gross area of Samnangerheimen nursing home is approx. 2 839 m².
