Replacement of tram tracks Sandakerveien

The project is a collaboration between Oslo municipality / Water and Sewerage Authority (VAV),: Agency for Urban Environment (Bymiljøetaten) and Sporveien Oslo AS, where Sporveien has the responsibility of General Contractor. Scheduled completion of the work is in 2014.
The acquisition includes full replacement of approx. 470 meters double tram tracks in Sandakerveien, between Åsengata and Hans Nilsens Hauges street. Work includes over and under building of storm water facilities..
Water and drains on this line should also be replaced. This work will be a part of the contract. VAV's demand is to establish 600 VL and 200 VL in incoming traffic lanes, respectively approx. 450 m. There will be built 2 plastic moulded square manholes, one in the crossing at Grefsenveien and Sandakerveien and one in the crossing at Åsengata and Sandakerveien and the construction of 9 round manholes At Sandaker centre there will be placed 600 VL through the existing stop on the entry side. The stop must therefore be extended. Provisionary water supply must be established in the construction phase.
Furthermore, it will be necessary to rehabilitate the roadway and footpath areas.
