Purchase of communication assistance in connection with implementation of obligatory chips for heavy vehicles in business sector heavier than 3, 5 tonnes

The Contracting Authority requests tenders for communication assistance which includes preparations and implementation of information measures in connection with obligatory chips for heavy vehicles in business sector heavier than 3, 5 tonnes.
The objective of the procurement is to ensure that as many as possible included in the new system, i.e. Norwegian and foreign owners, drivers and leasers driving on the public road network in Norway with the above described vehicles, are informed of the new system and aware of their obligations, rights and possibilities well before the system is initiated. in connection with the dispatch of a consultation paper from 13.06.2014, the Ministry of Transport and Communications prepare for the system to be initiated from and including 01. 01.2015, if possible. This means that the majority must have entered into a chip agreement and installed a toll bar chip in the vehicle prior to use of the public road network in Norway, provided that they have not already obtained other toll bar chips authorised for use in Norway.
The contracting authority has an option to prolong the contract after 30. 03.2015 with maximum 1 year.
