The contract consists of a new E18 between Østre Kanalbru in Ørje and Riksgrensen.
The lot consists of 6.3 km of new E18, which is a 2 lane road with a central reservation and overtaking areas.
The route follows the existing E18 through the built up area at Ørje, with a three meter wide central reservation and a speed limit of 70 km/h. From Sletta the new E18 will run along woodland to the national border, on the south side of the current E18. This will be a motorway with a speed limit of 90 km/h.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
The builder has an option to take out up to 380 m of total road element (E18) limited to between per 480 and per 860, as well Ørje Sag bridge (area code K02). The option applies to the road element is not divided with separate processes in the contract.

If the option is used for the road element, all affected processes will be reduced to the degree allowed by the option. «Road element» means all processes that apply to the actual road and the side terrain and ditches. This also applies to local roads connected to Orje Sag bridge. If the option is used for Ørje Sag bridge, all processes for this construction will be taken out. The builder will decide whether the option shall be used at the latest before the start-up of the collaboration phase.

Options are to be seen as a part of the contract. We will therefore draw attention to the fact that the use of options does not involve a change, cf. NS 8406 point 19.1, 2nd paragraph.

Security shall be furnished by a bank, insurance company or other financial institution approved that is approved by the builder. A guarantee amount will be accepted as security, placed in a blocked account at the builder's advantage. Interest accrues to the contractor.

The contractor shall provide the builder with documentation of the collateral contract before the start of work and not later than 28 days after the contract is signed.

The contractor shall present the builder with a guarantee declaration for correction fulfilment of the contractor's obligations in the contract period and the claims period before the contract works start and no later than 28 days after the contract has been signed, cf.
