Contract for maintenance and consultancy services for LANDesk

The Government Security and Service Organisation shall establish contracts with a service provider for maintenance and assistance for the entity's IT administration tool LANDesk Management Suite including Landesk Patch Manager. . The procurement includes the underlying IT administration tools LANDesk Management Gateway Appliance and Hardware Independent Imaging. In the coming years DSS will require technical ICT consultants for maintenance of and assistance with operation, troubleshooting and error recovery, upgrades, changes and further developmnet of the department's Landesk system.
The maintenance contract shall include support and maintenance services, including a response time contract for the existing LANDesk system. The assistance contract and the assignment contract will be signed as framework agreements so that DSS is ensured flexibility to make call-offs when the need for assistance occurs in the contract period. The contracts are meant to be dynamic, so that the need for expertise can be changed in accordance with the system being further developed.
The agreement applies to DSS and the entities to which DSS may provide ICT services at any time. The contracts are non-exclusive. The intention is for the framework agreement to cover DSS and the ministry community's needs for such services during the contract period, but without any obligation to purchase.

See the tender documentation for details of the estimated value. The call-offs on the contracts are difficult to estimate, as the need can vary a lot from year to year. This depends, amongst other things, on the extent of grants to modernisation projects, on other entities in the joint ministries connected to the contract and on any unforeseen events. The total annual extent, including options, is estimated to be between NOK 300 000 and NOK 700 000. The estimate is based on consumption in previous contracts and is consequently not binding for the contracting authority. Call-offs on the framework agreement can thus be both higher and lower than estimated.
