Two new nursing homes in Porsgrunn (2SP)

Porsgrunn municipality shall construct two new nursing homes. The construction project shall be carried out in accordance with a model based on the principles for ongoing interaction, where the design process has not started. A good and thoroughly prepared function programme is available, after a long process with the awarding authority and users, which creates the basis for the work that shall be carried out.
The description of what shall be constructed is, at the time of this notice, orientated for needs, functions and functional quality. The assignment includes therefore the development of the project right from the concept phase. A development plan process shall be carried out for the sites for both nursing homes, after a review has been carried out of how the nursing homes shall be divided. The project organisation shall be responsible for preparing the necessary planning documents as a part of the development phase.
In order to allow an optimal project within the current investment limit, the project shall be carried out in an interaction model in cooperation with the awarding authority, users and the contractor. The contract will be based on the responsibility principle in a turnkey contract, in which a group of contractors, architect and consultants in addition to some other special functions will be set up.
The two nursing homes shall be completed during the first half of 2017 and they shall have a capacity of a total 96 places, in addition to day departments and other associated functions.
The project has been approved by the town council for planning the development of approx. 96 new nursing home places divided between two nursing homes. The preliminary contract shall be approved by the town council. Resources have been set aside for the development in the municipality's action programme.
