Procurement of three high volume scanners

Brønnøysundregistrene

The Brønnøysund Register Centre currently has three Kodak Document Scanners i810 that shall be replaced with new scanners. In addition any necsesary software shall be offered. The offered system shall be supported for a minimum of five years with an operational stability of 95 % or better.
We would only like tenders for the procurement of new equipment, hire/leasing is not relevant. The scanners are currently operated with Kodak software "Kodak Capture Software version 6.1" via SCSI communication on Intel work stations with Windows XP. After scanning, OCR is carried out on parts of the documents. The software "OCR for AnyDoc" from Microsystems Technology is used for this. Finishing services and archiving the images and OCR data are carried out by self-developed software.

— Three scanners.
— Any necessary licences for software for them.

The background for announcing the procurement as a services procurement and not a supplies procurement is that we estimate that the value of the maintenance contract over four years will exceed the procurement sum of the three scanners. Suppliers shall enclose an overview of their experiences from equivalent contracts. The overview shall include the most important contracts in the last three years, their value, extent, what the contract included, date and recipient. Annex 8 - Overview of equivalent contracts is to be filled in.
