Contract for operator services, landline telephony. The contract shall also allow for a gradual reduction of the current landline telephony system, and a gradual increase of mobile systems. The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Organisation (NAV) consists of the Labour and Welfare Department and the parts of the municipalities' socal services that are included in the joint local offices.
Two other competitions will also be announced this year within telephony.
1. The procurement of operational services for NAV's internal system for landline telephony.
2. The procurement of mobile telephony services.
In addition a competition will be announced for video conference services.

NAV currently has a production platform for telephony that consists of IP based telephony systems for landline telephony. The total number of users in the current system is approx. 21 000. There are also a large number of conference and joint telephones connected to the landline telephony system. The total number of units in systems is approx. 27 000. NAV currently has approx. 5 000 mobile subscriptions in addition to the landline telephony systems. The mobile telephony system also has functionality for the administration of groups and ring queues.A provisional mapping of the call volume in the landline telephony system shows an annual total volume of approx. 32 000 000 calls. Calls in this connection means both internal and external calls and call attempts from NAV's landline telephony system. Of these approx. 8 000 000 are incoming calls to the contact centres.Equivalent volumes for mobile telephony are estimated to 3 200 000 calls, but with a total call time of approx. 6 700 000 minutes. Of these approx. 75 % of the calls are from mobile to mobile in Norway. The number of calls abroad is just under 1 %. The total number of SMSs is estiamted to 5 000 000.
