There is uncertainty about international comparisons of sick leave between countries. This is due, amongst other things, to the fact that the sick leave schemes are organised differently in different countries. International comparisons of sick leave are often based on the labour supply surveys (AKU). Based on AKU sick leave in Norway is high compared to other countries. The aim of the project is to map whether sick leave measured by AKU is comparable between countries and whether it is therefore possible to prove "real differences" in sick leave. Furthermore the project shall look at which explanation factors lie behind any "real differences". The awarding authority would like an option for additional procurements beyond the main assignment as it is described in annex 1. Hourly rates shall be given for this. The hourly rate will not be an object in the award. Attention is drawn to the fact that any additional procurements can increase the contract's value and extent.
