Eikertun - new nursing home

Øvre Eiker kommune

Øvre Eiker municipality, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, wishes to expand Eikertun which is presently an established area for elderly and people in need of nursing. The requirement is to expand the capacity of the existing nursing home in order to provide a good service for the increasing amount of elderly and requirements for new services in the municipality (the Interaction reform).
The new building shall safeguard the increased requirement the Awarding Authority has for treatment of people in need of nursing, including construction of a sense garden, several short-term places for rehabilitation, short-term, auxiliary housing, palliative care and emergency places. The contract also includes construction of a new accident and emergency unit and parking basement in the new building.
