E6 Hamarøy, Femtvassli - Kråkmo, road and tunnel

The project includes the conversion of 5 km of road of the E6 in the municipality of Hamarøy, the section from the power station at Kråkmo and to the south at Femtvassli. The conversion shall improve accessibility, predictability and road safety.
It comprises of about 5 km of road, including approx. 500 m of tunnel, 1 bridge made of concrete and the connection to the existing E6 through the establishment of two new intersections.
It also includes 3 units exits to forest roads. 3 units of water supply to buildings from wells shall also be secured.
The development is scheduled for the start of August in 2013 with a completion date for October 2015.
The work will take place in HP28 between km 11,915-16,690.
The work mainly includes the following:
- Tunnel, approx. 500 m
- New E6 about 5 km, blasting, filling, culverts
- Securing water for 3 subscribers
- Connection to the existing E6 with intersections and side roads
A bridge made of concrete, 74 m, and electrical work is not contained in this contract. These will be published in separate competitions.
