P-72226 SCentral Building West - Roof constructions

Extent of the work.
P-72226 consists of a roof over the Central Building West (CBW) and the contract has the following main amounts:
Glue-laminated wood (1 600 m3/690 tons):
— glue-laminated wood constructions are divided over 14 main frame works with the accompanying secondary frame works, as well as edge beams and other minor glue-laminated wood beams.
Steel (60 m3/470 tons):
— the steel constructions mainly consist of pillar crowns and layers for main support, as well as 6 frameworks for ceiling light constructions, frameworks for roof elevation, beams for fastening the façade, bars and slotting plates.
Plywood (5 200 m2):
— plate covering for the main frame work.
Prefabricated roof elements (11 000 m2):
— delivered with 1 layer of roofing and includes assembly of drains and adaptation of gutters/ceiling lights etc.
Other amounts:
— 52 eye bolts for securing personnel,
— various construction auxiliary works,
— glass and profile system for ceiling lights and smoke hatches.
The contract has contractor engineering design services, i.e. contractors are responsible for dimensioning within their delivery. The engineering design prerequisites will be a part of the tender documents. Contractors shall work out their own drawings for production and assembly in accordance with the current standards.
P-72222 has in the Central Building West (CBW) interface and parallel activities with the following contracts:
— 72 221 in connection with ground and concrete works for CBW,
— 72 222 in connection with prefabricated steel and concrete for CBW,
— 72 223 in connection with facades in CBW,
— 72 227 in connection with the railway station,
— 72 228 in connection with roofing over the CBW,
— 72 233 in connection with internal construction works,
— technical turnkey contracts.
