Kristiansund Airport Kvernberget-Infrastructure (prequalification)

With the new planned buildings and design of the airport, a new infrastructure must be established before new buildings are to be constructed and in operation. The new construction and development of new building shall be totally independent on the existing normal operation.
In order to make this feasible, the Awarding Authority has chosen to divide the terminal area in 3 zones and stages. I.a. technical culvert which shall prevent excavation of existing helicopter decks as the various stages are established. The establishment of new infrastructure shall be carried out in accordance with construction of new buildings. The stages are expected to be divided as follows:
— Operation area,
— Helicopter terminal area,
— Civil terminal area.
(See annex referred to as “Kartskisse” and division of stages).
Stage 1.
Establishment of new operation area, including new operation building, new energy central, new sand storage and new fuel facility for aircrafts (the costs for the fuel facility will be paid by Shell). Temporary area for road and temporary helicopter hangar shall be constructed in the area for helicopter apron which shall be constructed in stage 2.
A new access road shall be constructed, new parking area for production workers and new technical infrastructure for water, storm water system, power and waste water system. Underground technical culvert from operation building towards new terminal building and through the area for apron platform for helicopters to a new energy central shall also be included in the contract. In connection with the construction of a new operation area, the existing operation building and operation area can be terminated (including sand storage), whilst the existing aircraft terminal, helicopter terminal and helicopter hangar shall be in operation and intact.
Provided that necessary clarifications are ready and fundings are granted, stage 1 is requested to be executed during this year (2012).
Stage 2:
Construction of a new helicopter hangar, new apron areas for helicopters, relocation of light aircraft hangar, parking area and area for receipt goods. Technical infrastructure with water, power, storm water and waste water system from the energy central to the heliport shall be established.
Construction works:
1. Excavation/construction works (trenches, cabling, piping, road works etc.).
2. Crushing of rock into fractions which shall be used in the plant.
3. Some blasting works.
4. Concrete works.
5. Asphalt works.
6. Green space (plants and kerbstones).
7. Erection of fences.
8. Close-down the technical culvert with a diameter of 2 m.
9. Surveying/documentation.
Electrical installation works:
1. Cabling works (heavy and low current).
2. Conduits.
3. Street lighting.
Plumbing:
1. Waste water.
2. Storm water.
3. Manholes.
4. Wet wells
All sub-contractors who are requested engaged by the contractor shall be stated and included in the prequalification process.
The contractor must take into account that he will be appointed as the Main Company. The Main Company liability is governed by the Working Environment Act §2-22 which mandates that it shall be one Main Company at all time (not necessarily the same Main Company all the time) if there are more Employers at the workplace. The Main Company will be responsible for coordinating each company’s safety and environment work at the work place.
