The contract work comprises a main contract of approx. 3.2 km submarine tunnel to the island Hidra in Flekkefjord municipality.

The project county road 469 Hidra land connection comprises approx. 4 km of main road including connections to the existing road network, of which approx. 3.2 km is a submarine tunnel and approx. 300 m access road to the boat harbour with the accompanying constructions.

The road shall be constructed in road class S1 and the tunnel in tunnel class T8.5.

Excess matter from the tunnel is to be used to establish a road filling at Kunes. The filling is approx. 250 000 m

Further excess matter is to be used to establish a filling on the outside of the current ferry quay at Kvellandstrand. An alternative use of this excess matter will be evaluated.
