Environmental monitoring of the Riverine Inputs and Direct Discharges Programme

The main objective of the programme is to estimate riverine inputs and direct discharges of hazardous substances and nutrients to Norwegian coastal areas.
The tenderer shall measure given parameters in main waterways and additional waterways in order to measure pollution from waterways to the coastal areas, contribute to explain alterations in the eutrophy situation and levels of environmental poisons along the coast of Norway. The tenderer shall also identify time tendencies and geographical distribution of the inputs.
The programme shall also answer if any alterations in the inputs are caused by climate changes as well as contribute to increased knowledge of run-off of environmental poisons and nutrient salts.
The measured inputs in the waterways shall be supplemented with supply data downstream the measuring points in the waterways and from non-measured catchment areas in order to estimate total inputs.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
There are 3 options: Option 1 is analyses of PFC in four selected main waterways. Option 2 is monitoring of metals by using passive samplers in 6 selected main waterways. Option 3 is monitoring of PAH by using passive samplers in 2 selected main waterways.
