Ground investigation for Bybanen in Bergen construction stage 3

Hordaland Fylkeskommune v/Bybanen Utbygging

Ground investigation in connection with construction planning and extension of Bybanen in Bergen. The investigations comprises the route from Rådal to Bergen Airport Flesland. Approximately 7,1 km double track route. This includes approx. 1 km of road area, approx. 2,3 km of a seperate route in daylight, approx. 2,8 km in tunnel and just below 1 km in culvert.
The work includes the preparation of drilling plan, registering of visible loose masses over rock, environmental sampling of these loose masses, and environmental analysis of the samples.
To carry out these ground investigations in the loose masses, the following methods will be used:
—Total probing,
—CPT,
—Wing drilling,
—Sampling (ø54mm piston sampling),
—Grab drilling,
—Installation of peizometers,
—Core drilling in rock,
—Refraction seismic investigation.
Preliminary report for ground investigations shall be submitted on 11.11.2011. Final report and environmental investigations shall be submitted, in 2 separate reports, on 12.12.2011.

The first stage is the pre-qualification, the deadline for submitting pre-qualification documents is 30.5.2011 at 12:00. Practical information for submitting the application: The application shall be submitted in duplicate. Both applications shall comprise an A4 ring binder, numbered 1 and 2. The binders shall have page dividers with the following divisions (documentation requirements are described above in this notice): 1. Signed letter stating named contact person/award authority, as well as an overview of co-operating partners and sub-contractors. 2. Company registration certificate 3.
