Statens vegvesen plans a road connection between the islands Grytøy, Bjarkøy and Sandsøy in Bjarkøy Municipality. We require ground exploration to determine an exact route for tunnel(s) and possible bridge. Award authority wishes to receive tenders for depth mapping and refraction seismic explorations at sea and onshore. The depth mapping shall be carried out first. After that the refraction seismic explorations shall be carried out of the whole underwater part of the tunnel and bridge route.
In areas where the tunnel will run in the open, where there is no visible rock, the route shall be mapped by the use of land seismic exploration.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
Sea seismic: in Kvernsundet there is a well known deep channel. In this critical area several parallel profiles, and probably some cross profiles for stability, must be run. If any weak zones are discovered in Sandsøysundet these have to be examined more closely. If geological pre-explorations shows a neccessity to carry out supplimentary explorations these must be carried out by the use of land seismic exploration on Bjarkøy in connection with tunnel portaling.
