The existing system for safeguarding facility management at the University of Oslo, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, is divided in several different technical systems, platforms and software which are not necessarily interacting. This complicates the internal interaction and with suppliers and result in a great degree of double work and double registration, presents difficult retrieval of information and uncertainty regarding the quality of the data.
It is expected that there lies a potential for creating a better work day for each employee by providing an overall system for increasing the efficiency in relation to execution of the work with a better quality. The Awarding Authority shall therefore procure an overall FM system (management, operations, maintenance, development system).
It is a principal goal that the majority of those the system shall be developed for, actually use it and that it provides the Awarding Authority excess value in form of reduced use of resources. User friendliness will therefore be a vital part of the FM system.
The FM system will contain a lot of information of the company's core activities which means that the system must be available for access for a many employees. Most users are located at Blindern in Oslo, but both internal and external employees will require information and access to the FM system while they are staying in the buildings or at other locations.
A system for efficient interaction and data exchange between the existing systems and the FM system will therefore constitute a major part of the delivery.
The service provider shall also provide assistance in connection with implementation at the Awarding Authority's premises as well as support and maintenance of the selected system.
