Competition for maintenance and development of the ORBIT-database

ORBIT is a temporal database which is critical for the entity and which is used for generating, storing and maintaining national aeronautical data. The database is a central part of the production of approach and take off procedures, the production of aeronautical maps, as well as the production of AIP (Aeronautical Information Publication).
The awarding authority has a need for services connected to continuous maintenance and further development of the ORBIT database with the accompanying user interface and applications. A contract is thus wanted with one service provider who can provide services which cover the need.
The main part of the services will be continuous maintenance of the database, but with possibilities for further development as needed. The services do not thus include equipment or Oracle software, nor operation of the database. Both the maintenance services and the development services shall be provided by the same service provider. The service provider can use sub suppliers.
The services shall be provided for a period of up to 4 years. This is for both maintenance and development. A maintenance contract will be signed for 2 years with an option for an extension of 1+1 year. A framework agreement will be signed for the development services for the same length as the maintenance contract.
