Set up of a local network in the bus, with connection for units both via cable and wireless. As an option there could be a computer/server on this network, and we see the communication with the outside world will be solved by using a mobile network. The solution should also be open for use by the general public for internet access, without this disturbing or reducing data transfer for our production systems.
We require a solution comprising components that are standard merchandise, but which must endure shaking, varying temperature and humidity that can be expected in a vehicle. The solution must be adapted for installation in a bus, with accompanying variation in electric power, potential brake-up in the mobile connection and restriction in size onboard a bus. Furthermore, the solution must ensure upgrading contingency, both in connection with renewal of components, and in connection with upgrading to new, future communication standards.
