The municipality is responsible for organising clinical veterinary duty services. The veterinary duties scheme was established in accordance with the Act from 15 June 2001 no 75 on veterinary surgeons and other animal health personnel § 3a. The veterinary duty scheme must ensure that the municipality/municipalities establish clinical duty for veterinary surgeons in all parts of the country, so that necessary veterinary help can be obtained outside ordinary working hours.
