The VEAS plant is Norway's largest treatment plant and processes waste water from inhabitants in: — Oslo, — Bærum, — Asker, — Røyken and — Nesodden. The plant is situated in rock. VEAS has approx. 90 employees. The plant at VEAS was built in 1970 with 8 process halls. In the period from 1991 to 1995, 6 of the 8 halls were reconstructed to halls for removal of nitrogen from waste water. VEAS now wants to reconstruct the 2 remaining halls; PHA5 and PHA6.
