The background for the procurement is the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's plans for a new Sotra Connection between Bergen and Fjell municipalities and the need to free-up areas for the new road. The existing high-voltage cables (aerial cables) are to be replaced with cables that go through cable tunnels, and under the bridge.
