The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (abbreviated and henceforth referred to as OD) shall execute shallow drilling in the Barents Sea. This is a part of a geological mapping of this maritime zone. The data acquisition is administered by OD and financed through the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
