The purpose of the procurement is to enter into one or more contracts for the purchase of water temperature loggers with or without pressure sensors. Old instruments need to be replaced. NVE functions a relatively large network of stations measuring water temperatures. The number of stations is almost 300. NVE runs a network of nearly 1,000 hydrometrical monitoring stations. Most of these stations use two submersible pressure sensors with SDI-12 interface, measuring water level and where applicable, water temperature. NVE is to enter into a framework agreement with a supplier for submersible level transmitters. Most of NVE's meter stations measure water level and water temperature, with a digital interface based on SDI-12.
The number of sensors is estimated to be between 50 — 100 per annum. NVE normally procures 20 per order.
