Shallow drilling at the Jan Mayen ridge summer 2013 (Oljedirektoratet)
In summer 2013 the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (OD), henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, is planning to carry out core drillings at the Jan Mayen ridge (south of the Jan Mayen Island). The objective is to increase the knowledge of the geology in the area. The plan is to drill shallow drilling holes (shallower than 200 m below the sea bed). It is expected to be drilled approx. 6 of these drilling holes with an operation time of approx. 40 days. The water depth in the area varies between โฆ Vis anskaffelsen ยป
