The Norwegian Gaming Authority is responsible for the operation of the Helpline for Gambling Addiction. The service is a counselling service for people who have problems with gambling or computer games. The service is available by phone, chat and email. The helpline is a measure in the government's action plan against gambling addiction, and the current plan states that the programme will be further developed.
