Bømlo Vatn og Avløpsselskap AS would like to expand the current water treatment plant in Åreiddalen, as well as facilitate connection with the other two water treatment plants Hollundsvatnet and Vorland.
The work generally consists of:
- Demolition of parts of the existing buildings
- Expansion and alteration of Åreiddalen water treatment plant, approx. 350 m2 base area/3 floors.
- Establish two 1,500 m3 elevated basins with site and access road, approx. 750 m.
- New water and sewage installations between the water treatment plant and elevated basin, as well as new intake pipelines and transfer pipelines to Oldereid, approx. 3.5 km ditch + diver pipelines in Finnåsvatnet and Oldereidtjørnet.
- New water and sewage installations in the sea between Åreidbukta, Børøya, and Langevåg, approx. 21 km + 3 shore installations
- Drilling for a shore installation at Finnåsvatnet by Åreiddalen and Store Bleikja at Langevåg
- On-site constructions such as a bridge crossing over Åreidbekken, valve chambers, and water manholes
