Stavanger municipality will soon install solar power installations on several of its buildings. This contest concerns a tiled pitched roof wherein the intent is to replace the roof tiles with solar cells with dummy panels and a rail system on top of the roof tiles so that the appearance of the roof is coherent.
In connection with production feasibility, 366 municipal buildings have been surveyed. Of these buildings, 25% have an IRR of over 4% as of March 2023. We expect that several of the buildings have crossed this value as a result of significant increases in the price of power. Installation is initially planned to take place on pitched and flat roofs.
