To make room for new hospital buildings at Rikshospitalet, parts of the existing Rikshospitalet will be demolished, and Oslo University Hospital Trust (OUS) will be making significant alterations in connection with this. OUS has planned the alteration project, which HSØ PO is now responsible for implementing. This includes, among other things, making preparations for the demolition of C1, D0 and the pavilion in B1.
Preparing for the demolition of these areas involves the premises being emptied and functions being reorganised. Some functions will be moved temporarily before being transferred to the new Rikshospitalet, while others will be permanently relocated. The alteration project thus consists of numerous renovation projects of varying sizes.
This sub-alteration (Wards E and Emergency Department Rikshospitalet) will move wards and emergency departments within the hospital to prepare wing C1 for demolition in connection with the establishment of a new national hospital. The project is carried out under the management of HSØ PO.
