Additionally, the purpose of the agreement is to ensure that the building owner fulfils all of its fire safety obligations in accordance with applicable building and fire regulations, as well as relevant guidelines. In addition there will also be a needs for some independent inspections of new buildings and installations.
The purpose of the framework agreement is to cover the Contracting Authority's need for mandatory inspections and FG inspections of sprinkler systems in all buildings equipped with such systems. Additionally, the purpose of the agreement is to ensure that the building owner fulfils all of its fire safety obligations in accordance with applicable building and fire regulations, as well as relevant guidelines. In addition there will also be a needs for some independent inspections of new buildings and installations.
The sprinkler systems are primarily installed to extinguish and contain fires, while increasing the time available for escape. It is therefore essential to carry out at least one annual inspection to ensure that the systems are working properly.
For the annual FG inspection of the sprinkler system, special emphasis will be placed on identifying any corrosion, mechanical damage, suspension and fastening devices, coverings/repainting, as well as wear and tear and the condition of ceiling structures, which may affect the function of the system. It will also be verified that the facilities have sufficient capacity in accordance with the applicable requirements.
