Demolition and new construction - Kjøpsvik educational centre
Narvik kommune
Narvik Municipality shall co-locate a nursery and school (1st-10th years school) in Kjøpsvik to a new educational centre on the current school site in the central area of Kjøpsvik. The educational centre is divided in a nursery part, administration part, common room with a sales outlet, special rooms, primary school section, middle school section, and secondary school section.
The existing school will be demolished in two phases so that the new educational centre can be constructed in its entirety.

Justification for cancellation
The contest for demolition and new construction - Kjøpsvik educational centre is cancelled, cf. the public procurement regulations
(PPR) § 25-4.
The contest is cancelled as the received tenders far exceeded the contracting authority's given financial limits, cf. the tender documentation part 1, point 1.3 conditions regarding permits or financing, which states the following:
'...Note that the project is subject to financing as well as a final execution decision by Narvik Municipality. The project has financing within a given limit.
If the tender sum exceeds this limit, new financing must be obtained. If a solution is not found, the contest must be cancelled....'
It has not been possible for the contracting authority to increase the economic limits sufficiently to be able to continue with the contest, and a decision has therefore been made to cancel due to a lack of finances to hold the contest.
