Ground surveys sea: The contracting authority would primarily like (as described above) that the expansion of the Shipyard Bridge shall not entail new foundations in the River Nidelva. The findings in the main assignment will determine whether there is a need to trigger the option for ground surveys in the sea. The need for geotechnical assessments and surveys in the sea/channel in the relevant area must be clarified, as the main focus is on foundation conditions and stability for existing and future constructions. Geotechnical engineers must assess whether the existing data basis (previous ground surveys) is sufficient.

A preliminary project shall be prepared for the expansion of verftsbrua and adaptations to the landing areas on both sides of the bridge. A preliminary project shall be prepared showing solution proposals for the expansion of the current bridge, including connection to a possible new foot and cycle bridge over the Rosenborg basin along the River Nidelva. See the adaptation and design of the landing areas, construction, foundations/fixing, choice of materials and cost estimates. The preliminary project shall form the basis for detailed engineering design services and/or any preparation of the zoning plan.
