Thereafter both parties have the possibility to terminate the contract with effect from 01.01.2029. Tenderers must give written notification to the Contracting Authority by 31.12.2027 at the latest if the Tenderer would like to terminate the contract. The contracting authority must give written notification to the Tenderer by 30.6.2028 at the latest if the Contracting Authority wishes to terminate the contract. If neither party terminates the contract, it will automatically run until 31.12.2029.
After that the contracting authority has a unilateral option to extend the contract for a further one + one year up until and including 31.12.2031. The contracting authority must notify the tenderer within 6 months prior to the contract period if the option is not taken up.
