Meteorologisk Institutt

The Meteorological Institute works so that authorities, businesses, institutions and the general public can best safeguard their interests for securing lives and values, for planning and for the protection of the environment. The Meteorological Institute has approx. 500 employees divided between several office locations, some of which are meteorologists who go rota. The main office is located in Oslo, with approx. 280 employees at Blindern and in Forskningsparken, of which approx. 30 employees are rota. Most of the workplaces are office work stations. The office in Bergen is located in the centre of Bergen in the premises of the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. There are approx. 90 employees, of which approx. 35 are rota. Most of the workplaces are office work stations. The company health service shall be a support in the contracting authorities ́ HSE work in Oslo and Bergen and they shall contribute to complying with the aims and obligations in this field. The agreement shall cover the customers ́ ongoing needs. Both are IA companies.
