Notodden municipality (org.nr. 938 583 986) shall rebuild Heddal secondary school for Sem primary school The works shall be carried out as a turnkey contract, the assistant building is a two storey school building, with a technical room on the second floor, the existing gross area is approx. 4,000 m2 The existing school consists of 3 parts. Building A includes classrooms for food and health, building B includes i.a. a gymnasium with changing rooms and rooms for janitors, and building C that includes classrooms and personnel rooms. The vestibule connects the three parts together and contains the ampitheatre with the library. The gross area shall be divided in three places to approx. 1,850 m2. The extension B shall be constructed at the gym hall (building B) and it is a stage that shall ensure that the school can collect all pupils. Annex C is to be constructed on the ground floor outside of classrooms in part C to make the rooms easier to access. A covered slab will be established on the ground floor to provide stairless access to the rooms on the 2nd floor. Extension D, placed at the end of building C, and includes classrooms, work rooms for teachers and administration, changing rooms and technical rooms. The reconstruction areas are approx. 675 m2 and are marked for plan drawings. The reconstructed areas are divided between different places, with the largest part altering the existing work room for teachers and administration in building C to student rooms. Work shall also be carried out several places in the existing building. This includes improvement of surfaces in the gymnasium, new roof roofing over the gymnasium and new light fixtures in all rooms. The ramp-up is not exhaustive External work, the turnkey contract also includes external works in accordance with the outdoor plan. Temporary parking for students who are driven to the school in Rogneståvegen, improved access for a fire engine from Semsvegen to the school area by building B, and development of the outdoor area at the school. The outside area shall i.a. include a football pitch/ballbinge, play apparatus, sandpits, parking lots and cycle stands, sanitation shelters etc. Options Notodden municipality will request a price for some works as the tender sending has not yet been decided as to whether to enter into a contract with the contractor. Tenders are to be submitted as options for Notodden municipality. Works offered on: OPTION A Universally designed foot and cycle path OPTION B Expansion bus stop OPTION C Expansion parking and bicycle parking OPTION D Fence around the school OPTION E Noise screen OPTION F Sun screening OPTION G Playhouse Offered price for the option shall also include all joint costs connected to the works included in the option, including rigging, operation, administration and engineering design. After the turnkey contractor has been chosen, Notodden municipality will choose which options will be triggered Progress Contract signing is planned at the end of January 2026. The turnkey contractor can start their planning, engineering design services and rigging immediately after the contract has been signed. The secondary school shall be in operation until the school year 2025/26. The turnkey contractor will therefore have access in the first half of 2026, only access to the area concerning extension D and the external area between Rogneståvegen and the school place outside the addition D.Turnkey contractor will have access to the remaining buildings and external areas after the school has finished. Access is expected at the beginning of July 2026.The primary school shall be put into operation autumn 2027. In order for the school to move in, annex D shall be handed over to the turn of the month April/May 2027, while all other work shall be handed over in mid June 2027.
