The contracting authority shall procure 1 pipetting robot for the Department for Microbiology (MIK). The robot shall be used for automated pre-processing samples before extraction. Pre-processing means pipetting of various liquid materials. MIK handles the preliminary processing of several thousand samples annually manually. The robot must be able to handle a relatively high volume of samples in a quick and efficient manner and be able to perform operations such as "decapping", printing labels and labelling pipes with the label, adding reagents, and aliquoting, which is important for automating sample processing in molecular diagnostics.
