The Directorate of Fisheries would like to hire fishing vessels that are rigged and suitable for effective and appropriate execution of expeditions, including catch and catch measurements. The vessel that is hired will be administered and managed by the Directorate of Fisheries ́s naval service. The vessel must be representative of the vessel group as regards operational patterns, equipment, catch efficiency and production capacity, and it must be able to operate under the same conditions as equivalent vessels. The vessel ́s assignments will be the execution of catch operations in the areas that the Directorate of Fisheries ́s representatives want on board. Prioritised assignments will i.a. be control of areas with high fish pressure, mixing fish under minimum targets and sample taking on the request of cooperating departments such as the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research. The starting point is that three (3) expeditions are carried out and that each expedition will have a length of 21 days. The Directorate of Fisheries would like to enter into a contract for the hire of one or several vessels in order to cover all periods that are required to hire a vessel.
