The framework agreement for water meters will apply from when the contract is signed and 2 (two) years into the future, with an option for the Contracting Authority to extend one or more times for up to a further 2+2+2 years, a total of 8 (eight) years. The agreement for software lasts three years and then renews automatically for one year at a time until notice is given on the contract.

The competition is for the procurement and delivery of electronic smart water meters with the accompanying software for collection, as Løten municipality is now replacing the current water meters with remotely breeding meters. The contracting authority is expected to replace approx. 3,500 water meters in total. The contracting authority also has an option to purchase software for receiving and analysing data connected to leak detection. The contracting authority estimates that the amount of the framework agreement is approx. The maximum value of the framework agreement over its lifetime is limited to NOK 10 million excluding VAT.
