The recommended concept in KVU (Annex 1 - KVU) A KVU has been prepared that recommends the following solution for the municipalities in the procurement: Expanding the current facility at Vallø to include Bekkevika RA and Vårnes RA - approx. 211,000 pe. Including transport pipeline from Bekkevika to Vårnes and from Vårnes to Vallø Builder – Tønsberg Treatment Facility IKS Expanding the current facility at Sandefjord RA – Enga to include nitrogen purification – approx. 68,000 pe Builder – Sandefjord municipality, no sludge treatment installations shall be built in connection with these treatment facilities, other than internal collection and dewatering of sludge. The project costs (construction costs) for Vallø and Sandefjord RA - Enga is expected to be between NOK 3.1 - 3.3 billion (p85), depending on the chosen collaboration systems. The concept choice at Enga; Sandefjord kommune has progressed a little further in the work on the concept choice at Sandefjord Treatment Facility and has prepared a vision book (Annex 4). The vision book describes Sandefjord kommune's vision for the expansion of Sandefjord treatment facilities and the more concrete project goals that have been prepared on the basis of global, national, regional and local ambitions for water purification and environmental protection. The vision book is prepared as part of the concept phase and will form the basis for Sandefjord RA ́s strategic direction in process choice and design of the building. This contract the works for this competition are expected to start immediately after the political treatment in autumn 2025. The works included in this competition are estimated to have a value of approx. The volume is an estimate and is not binding for the contracting authority. If the recommended solution is decided, the implementation of these developments will occur via 2 separate builder organisations, and the chosen tenderer in this competition will therefore have to enter into separate contracts with each of the two builders. However, it is a prerequisite that the tenderer can partly use the same personnel resources parallel to the two assignments. For further information see chapter 4, Needs Description.
